October 1, 2023 – Three people were injured during a shooting outside Illuzion Club on Murfreesboro Pike at 12:35 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers responded to the three victims after they left the night club in a car and stopped at a Speedway market on Murfreesboro Pike. All victims were in non-critical condition.
A 31-year-old man had a wound to his knee, a 30-year-old woman had a wound to her thigh, and another 30-year-old woman had a graze wound to her shin that did not require treatment.
The investigation shows that the gunfire occurred after a fight broke out inside the club, resulting in the ejection of several persons. Shots were fired by two separate groups of persons, as well as security guards, who said they fired in defense of uninvolved parties.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage as they work to identify those who fired guns.
