A theft investigation in Hendersonville has led police to three people who were arrested for similar crimes in Indiana, according to WKRN.

Hendersonville Police say the victim said their wallet went missing while they were in a store, but they did not know when it was taken.

Authorities say the victim discovered attempted charges on their cards immediately after they noticed their wallet was taken, which prompted them to request to review a surveillance video.

Investigators said they used license plate readers, which helped identify the suspects’ vehicle, adding that the system showed the vehicle on a tow truck in the Evansville, Indiana, area.

Authorities said they discovered the suspects had been arrested for similar crimes in that jurisdiction in Indiana after contacting Evansville Police Department.

On February 21, 2023, Hendersonville Police obtained warrants for theft for the three suspects who were taken into custody in Indiana.

Officials are now seeking extradition for Katherinne Valeska Molina Castro, 28, Javiera Ignacia Cabello Solis, 21, and Nelson Andres Contreras, 38.
