From Friday afternoon through early Monday morning, MJPD officers remained vigilant—resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals, most wanted for serious crimes spanning several counties. Through proactive enforcement, technology, and investigative work, officers recovered stolen property, intercepted narcotics, and brought wanted suspects into custody. Here’s a full summary of the weekend’s work:

• Friday Afternoon: A traffic stop on Golden Bear Gateway for an unlawfully tinted windshield led to the arrest of a Nashville man with a Rutherford County warrant for probation violation and theft. He was also driving on an indefinitely suspended license.

• Friday Night: A 54-year-old Nashville man, wanted since 2020 for a probation violation in Wilson County, was arrested during a traffic stop. He had also recently been charged in Cheatham County for domestic assault and was violating a no-contact order.

• Saturday Evening: Officers simultaneously investigated two suspicious vehicles at Academy Sports and McDonald’s near I-40. The two suspects—one from Baxter and the other from Crossville—were arrested for shoplifting, drug possession, and outstanding warrants. Officers recovered methamphetamine and stolen items, including Milwaukee tools and clothing.

• Overnight Saturday into Sunday: Guardian Shield alerted officers to a stolen 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. The vehicle was located parked at Lowe’s, and the driver—wanted in Carter County for drug and weapon offenses—was safely taken into custody. Meth was also found in his possession.

• Early Sunday Morning: A 41-year-old Georgia woman, wanted since 2021 for felony theft in Baldwin County, Alabama, was arrested after an officer investigated a handicapped parking violation at Mapco near I-40.

• Sunday Afternoon: After a vehicle was seen speeding out of Lowe’s, a male passenger fled on foot during the traffic stop. He was quickly caught and found to have recently stolen merchandise and multiple warrants from Hickman, Dickson, and Fairview, including charges for aggravated domestic assault and felony evading arrest.

• Sunday Night: A brief pursuit followed a traffic stop for an improperly displayed plate. Officers safely boxed in the vehicle on I-40. The female driver was charged with felony evading and driving on a suspended license. The male passenger initially lied about his identity but was found to be wanted in Wilson County and in possession of ecstasy.

• Overnight Sunday into Monday: A routine traffic stop for a light law violation uncovered a 21-year-old Murfreesboro woman wanted in Williamson County for felony sale and delivery of cocaine. She was also driving on an indefinitely suspended license and was booked into the Wilson County Jail to await transfer.

MJPD says each of these arrests began with proactive police work—from simple traffic stops to investigating suspicious activity.
