The Goodlettsville Police Department is searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle left two officers injured early Friday morning.
Police said officers received a license plate reader alert around 12:29 a.m. on a stolen 2009 black Jaguar XF with Tennessee tag 048BLZC. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Robertson County on July 7.
Officers located the vehicle at an apartment complex off Alta Loma Road and attempted a traffic stop. Investigators say the driver, identified as 30-year-old Jordan Termaine Barbee, intentionally rammed a Goodlettsville patrol vehicle before fleeing the area.
Barbee then drove south on Alta Loma Road toward Dry Creek Road. During the pursuit, two additional Goodlettsville officers were involved in a separate crash while trying to catch the suspect.
Both officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe a Glock 23 handgun may have been inside the vehicle when it was stolen in Robertson County, and police say Barbee should be considered armed and dangerous.
Barbee is described as a Black male standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.
Police are seeking multiple warrants against Barbee, including charges related to the alleged assault of a law enforcement officer and other offenses connected to the incident. The department said Barbee also has active warrants from Robertson and Montgomery counties.
Anyone who sees Barbee or knows where he may be is urged not to approach him and instead call 911 or contact the Goodlettsville Police Department at (615) 859-3405.
The investigation remains ongoing.
