A multi-agency investigation into an alleged vehicle theft operation is continuing after authorities executed search warrants at several properties in Wilson and Davidson counties, recovering multiple stolen vehicles and evidence tied to altered vehicle identification numbers.
The Lebanon Police Department said its Special Operations Division, with support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, carried out search warrants at four residences in the Lebanon and Wilson County area, along with a home in the Whites Creek community of Davidson County.
During the operation, investigators recovered several stolen vehicles, including two GMC Sierras reported stolen from Texas and Ohio, as well as a stolen Polaris Slingshot. Authorities said investigators also found evidence connected to altered and falsified vehicle identification numbers, commonly known as VINs.
Police said the operation followed an earlier multi-agency search warrant effort on April 23 as part of the ongoing investigation.
The case began April 16 after officers reportedly discovered stolen vehicles with altered VINs while executing multiple search warrants tied to an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics in Lebanon.
Officials described the investigation as active and ongoing, with charges still pending. Authorities said additional information is not being released at this time.
