Nashville Sounds: Win 15-4

The Sounds have officially tied the franchise record for most consecutive wins! That is right 15 in a row! Last night the Sounds took on the Charlotte Knights in Charlotte. Nashville had a big inning in the bottom of the second with 4 runs scoring, however, it was not the biggest inning of the game. The Sounds scored 7 runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a commanding 11-0 lead. Peterson and Jager both homered in the inning to help lead the Sounds in plating those runs. Nashville would add some more runs later in the game, with help from another Peterson home run, but they were in control from the second inning on. They ended up winning 15-4.

Atlanta Braves: Win 5-1

The Braves beat the Nationals yesterday afternoon 5-1. Tyler Davidson was the winning pitcher as he went 5.2 innings without giving up a run. Both Dansby Swanson and Ozzie Albies hit their 500th career hits in this game. Swanson’s 500th hit was a home run. The Atlanta bullpen only allowed 1 run in the win.

Cincinnati Reds: Win 4-2

The Cincinnati Red played against the Cardinals after having the night off due to a weather postponement against the Phillies. The Reds were led offensively, by Winker as he hit a 2-run home run to boost the Reds into the lead.  Reds’ pitcher, Vladimir Gutierrez, earned his first career win on the mound as the Reds beat the Cardinals 4-2.
