Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage has once again teamed up with the Tennessee Whiskey Trail for an afternoon of whiskey, wine and beer samples on the grounds of The Hermitage. This event, happening from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, will feature tastings from nearly 30 Tennessee distilleries, as well as local beer and wine. This is the second collaboration between the two organizations and the eighth time for this event.

Besides tastings from participating distilleries, select breweries and Natchez Hills Winery, tickets also include a bite from FKS Kitchen, access to The Hermitage grounds, including a historic garden, wildlife, walking paths, historical markers and more. Lawn games and live music from Callie McCullough will also be part of the event. Additional food will be available for purchase.

“The Hermitage is proud to team with the Tennessee Whiskey Trail for another Sip of History event. In our collection are records of President Jackson having a still on the property when he lived here, and we know he had a penchant for fine wine. We like to think whiskey and history pair well together and that Jackson would have been the first in line with a ticket to this event,” said Howard J. Kittell, president and CEO of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. “Not only do attendees have access to all the tastings from Tennessee vendors, they also are able to see as much of this 1,120-acre National Historic Landmark as they would like during their time here. It will be a fun day—and one that we look forward to every year.”

This dog-friendly event also includes:

  • A photo of your pet from Wendy Jo Photo.
  • Commemorative bandana from Nelson’s GreenBrier Distillery that can be customized for your dog by Ranger Stitch.
  • A fenced dog park for off-the-leash fun.

Tickets are $75 for Hermitage members and $85 for non-members. A portion of all sales will support the Andrew Jackson Foundation’s mission to preserve the home place of Andrew Jackson, create learning opportunities and inspire informed citizenship.
