A prolific shoplifter was arrested Thursday afternoon on 28 outstanding warrants after she was identified by Organized Retail Crime detectives for stealing more than $15,000 in merchandise from various businesses since last July.
Kierra Hockett, 31, was charged with several counts of theft and organized retail crime for cases at local Ulta, Sephora, Target, Bath & Body Works and Hibbett Sports stores.
During the investigation, detectives learned Hockett also stole a North Carolina woman’s identity to rent property and open a Nashville Electric Service account. In addition to her merchandise theft cases, she is charged with six counts of forgery, three counts of identity theft, theft of property and theft of services. She is also wanted on outstanding charges in several Tennessee jurisdictions as well as Calhoun, Georgia.
She remains jailed on $232,000 bond.
