Officers have charged Metro Schools bus driver Madubiri Nwoke, 75, with DUI after the bus he was driving struck a parked car near the intersection of Alteras & Sunnywood Drives Wednesday afternoon as he was enroute to an elementary school to pick up children.
Responding officers smelled alcohol on Nwoke’s breath. He showed indicators of impairment during the administration of field sobriety tasks.
An adult bus assistant was the only passenger at the time of the crash. He claimed of dizziness from the impact.
Nwoke was booked following a blood draw for laboratory analysis.
