CBL recently announced it sold a 5.35-acre parcel of land in the northeast corner of the CoolSprings Galleria property to Greystar. This groundbreaking ceremony marks the first construction milestone for an upscale apartment community that will feature 361 residences and 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Throughout the event, the words collaboration and community were mentioned several times. Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson shared how he hoped the younger generation would return to Williamson County by stating, “How can we ensure, how can we help them be able to move into our community? And it’s through projects like this that that will occur.”

Construction is beginning this summer and is expected to take two years to complete the project in the parking area outside of JCPenney and Macy’s.

The residential development represents the first announced phase of a broader redevelopment plan for the CoolSprings Galleria campus. In March 2025, the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a revised development plan covering more than 86 acres surrounding the mall. The plan allows for up to 600 multifamily units, a 120-room hotel, and 84,555 square feet of additional restaurant, retail, and other nonresidential space.
