December 14, 2022 – The pedestrian struck and killed Wednesday at 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Lebanon Pike at Bonnabrook Drive is identified as Derick N. Johnson, 43, of Old Hickory.
The preliminary investigation shows that Johnson was crossing Lebanon Pike when he was clipped by the passenger side of a Honda CRV and knocked to the ground where he was then struck by two other vehicles. He died at the scene.
All three drivers stayed on the scene. They showed no signs of alcohol or drug impairment. There are no crosswalks at this intersection and it was still dark at the time of the collision.
