December 19, 2022 – An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed Friday at 11:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Robinson Road. More Crime News!
The preliminary investigation shows that the pedestrian, for reasons unknown, was in the northbound lane of Robinson Road when he was struck by the driver of a Kia Soul, Kenneth Bumbalough, 60, of Nashville. The pedestrian, a white man, died at the scene. The Medical Examiner is working to identify him.
Bumbalough and his passenger reported that they did not have time to avoid the collision. Bumbalough admitted that he had consumed half a pint of gin and showed indicators of impairment. A blood sample from Bumbalough will be analyzed for alcohol content.
Bumbalough is charged with DUI and no proof of insurance.
