The pedestrian struck and killed Wednesday at 6 p.m. on Gallatin Pike S near Berkley Drive is identified as David A. Kelley, 68, of Nashville.
The preliminary investigation shows that Kelley was crossing Gallatin Pike, entered the continuous left turn lane, and then continued into a northbound lane of travel where he was struck by the northbound driver of a 2013 Kia Forte. He was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
There were no signs of impairment on the part of the Kia driver.
