The pedestrian struck and killed Saturday at 1:10 a.m. on I-40 East near Fesslers Lane has been positively identified as Dillon Gasca, 28, of Nashville.
The preliminary investigation shows that Gasca was walking on the interstate when he was struck by the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse who stopped and called police. Gasca died at the scene. No charges are anticipated against the driver.
