September 4, 2023 – A 66-year-old Nashville man was struck and killed in Sunday’s 10:45 p.m. crash on Lebanon Pike near Sweden Drive. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Honda CRV was traveling westbound when the man, who was attempting to cross the roadway, entered the motorist’s lane of travel.
The 17-year-old driver came to a controlled stop and remained at the scene. He showed no signs of impairment.
He was issued a citation for driving without proof of insurance.
The pedestrian died at the scene. Efforts are underway to notify his family.
