February 7, 2024 – A female pedestrian died following Wednesday’s 6:40 a.m. crash on Harding Place at Linbar Drive.
The woman, who carried no identification, was walking her bicycle in the crosswalk when she was struck by a small box truck making a right turn at the intersection.
She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died. The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to identify her.
The driver of the Ford E350 box truck did not show any signs of impairment at the scene. He was issued a citation for driving without a license.
The preliminary contributing factor for this crash is still under investigation.
