A pedestrian has died following a crash on Murfreesboro Pike last night involving a Honda CRV. The preliminary investigation shows Safari Okleng also known as Lucia L. Labok, 31, darted across the north side of the roadway when she was struck by the CRV that was traveling northwest between Foothill Drive and Wilhagen Road.
The driver of the CRV was not injured and did not show signs of impairment on scene. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
Okleng was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
