William Terry “Jaws” Dixon was born November 5, 1942, in Gallatin, Tennessee, to his parents Robert Lee Dixon and Juanita “June” Dixon.
He attended Cohn High School and UT Night College. He proudly served 8 years in the Marine Reserve. He raised red poll cattle on his farm in Fairview, Tennessee.
Terry married his best friend, Jeanie “His Boo” on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1982. He was the owner of Mid-South Dock Systems, Inc. and was the rep for Rite-Hite Corporation and Frommelt Industries. Many told Terry he could sell ice to Eskimos.
Terry and Janie went on many Rite-Hite trips such as Mexico, Spain, Africa, Hawaii, Key West, Puerto Rico and Las Vegas. He was a member of West Nashville Moose Lodge, was a 3rd Degree Master Mason and served as Past Master of McEwen Lodge #525.
When Terry and Jeanie lived in Waverly, Tennessee, they enjoyed boating, fishing, 4-wheeling and playing cards with their best friends Gary and Pam Hargis. He loved going to Nascar races in Bristol, Talladega, Daytona, Charlotte and Nashville. He also enjoyed playing Texas hold em.
Terry had many of his “adopted” kids, Jimmy, Kevin, Ben, Randy, Johnny, Steve, Bryan, Gary Jr., Scott, Aaron, Alan. John-John, Gary G., Greg and Richard. Special thanks to Kevin Feldman, Ben Feldman, Jimmy and Tammy Joselyn, Lisa Knight, Gary Hargis and everyone at Hospice.
Terry was a good man who was generous to everyone. He was a Christian who was a believer in God and was in peace knowing he would be going to Heaven to be with God and all his loved ones who had gone on before him.
