William Shipsey

October 9, 1947 – March 6, 2025

Nashville, Tennessee – William Shipsey, a veteran of the U.S. Army who served with honor and courage, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 77.

Bill was born in Queens, New York on October 9, 1947.

Bill is survived by brothers Jack Shipsey, Scott (Dawn) Shipsey, Mark (Susan) Shipsey, and sister Sue Chamberlain, (Pam Buckham).

He will always be remembered by his nephews and nieces as Magical Uncle Bill.

A memorial to honor his life and service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AMVETS Post 70 1831 Ribaut Road, Port Royal, SC. 29935. Checks should notate William Shipsey in his memory. Funding will be distributed to homeless veteran programs.
