William “Carl” Higgins, age 76 of Nashville, passed away July 26, 2024.
Carl loved spending time with his family and church friends more than anything in the world. He was a longtime member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. If he knew there was a need, he was the first to offer his services. He enjoyed working in his yard and took pride in his work.
He drove a semi-truck most of his life and loved being behind the wheel. He had a creative mind and could make anything he wanted to or that others wanted him to. Carl is leaving a legacy behind that will be passed down for generations to come.
Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emma Diane Kenton; son-in-law, Daniel Burton Malone; brothers, Tony Higgins, Charles Higgins, and Robert Higgins.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Diane Higgins; children, Kim Malone, Mary (Allen) Kenton, and Becky (Jonathan) Marklein; grandchildren, Aaron (Alice), Alex (Megan), Abi (Jack), Adam, Eric, Owen, Lacey (Ryan), Lauren, and Landon (Maycee); great-grandchildren, Preston, Axton, Hutson, Aspen, Marlee, Amyx, and Lexi; brothers, Jerry (Harriett) Higgins, Donald Higgins, and James Higgins; extended family, Tommy (Annie), Jeffrey, and Gay (Mike).
Visitation will be at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2620 Pennington Bend Rd. Nashville, TN 37214, Wednesday, July 31st from 12 noon until 4 pm and Thursday, August 1st from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm, Pastor Jonathan Trees officiating. Interment will follow at DeKalb Cemetery in Smithville, TN. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
