Mrs. Wanda Gortney, age 75 of the Defeated Creek Community, died Saturday morning, November 8 at Highpoint-Riverview in Carthage. She is survived by:
- husband, Robert Gortney;
- 2 sisters, Teresa Wix of Birmingham, Alabama, Debbi Cook and husband Terry of Lafayette;
- brother, Bobby Powers and wife Kathy of Lebanon;
- step-son, Robert Brian Gortney of Scottsville, Kentucky;
- 2 grandchildren, Robert Brian Gortney Jr of Fort Worth, Texas, Vanessa Gortney of Lebanon;
- 4 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet on Friday November 14 at 1:00 PM at the Wilson Memorial Park in Lebanon for Graveside Services and Interment. Bro. Frank Bratcher will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are: Derrick Wix, Isaac El-Amin, Scott Moore, Daniel Beaty, Clay Crockett, Robert Brian Gortney Jr.
