Wallie Lupe Cervantez, Sr., age 92 of Nashville, TN. passed away on November 16, 2021.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Cervantez; son, Steven Cervantez; sisters, Bartola “Bartie” McCune and Mary Dela Cruz; grandson, Daniel Cervantez. H
e was a dedicated, loving husband of 56 years, a devout Catholic who loved his church, wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was retired from the Ford Glass Plant and was a U.S. Army veteran who loved his country.
Survived by daughter, Nancy Cervantez; sons, Wallie (Melinda) Cervantez, Jr., Mike (Pam) Cervantez, David Cervantez, and Philip (Tonya) Cervantez; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Cecilia Shipp, Jennie (Mike) Pacheco and Lucille (Wayne) Bergstad; and brother, Ray (Julia) Cervantez.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, November 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1219 2nd Ave. S. by Father Hammond. Interment with Military Honors at Calvary Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, 615-331-1952.
