Tommie-Felter

Tommie Feltner, 78, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. Born on November 25, 1946, in Hazard, Kentucky, Tommie was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Taylor. She spent her life embodying the values she held dear — family, hard work, and kindness.

Tommie retired in 2012 from Bright Corporation in Anderson, Indiana, where she worked for many years as a bookmaker. Known for her tireless work ethic and independent spirit, she approached life with grit and grace.

She had a gift for making people laugh and a heart big enough to hold everyone she cared for. Tommie was selfless, generous, modest, and strong-willed — a true example of character and love. She found joy in the simple things: cooking for those she loved, watching QVC, dancing to her favorite music, and cheering on her beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats. Her happiest moments were often spent watching her granddaughter Alyssa play softball or enjoying a shopping trip with family.

Tommie is survived by her devoted daughter Kim Banks, her son Kevin Feltner, and her treasured granddaughter Alyssa Feltner. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Bertha Miller and Sandra Hepter, many beloved nieces and nephews, her kind and dedicated caregiver Carson, and her bonus granddaughter Autumn Cummings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvy Feltner, her brothers Columbus Taylor, Larry Taylor, and David Taylor, her son-in-law Tom Banks, and her dear friend and companion Jim Jackson.

In keeping with Tommie’s wishes, the family will hold a private service to honor her life. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn

Her laughter, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
