Timothy Peter Benedix of Antioch, Tennessee passed away on July 27, 2023 after losing his battle with cancer.
He was born on April 8, 1958. Son of Dorothy (McHale) Benedix and George Benedix Sr.
He graduated from Rumford High School class of 1976 in Rumford, Maine.
After high school, Tim worked on the road doing construction, which brought him to Nashville, Tennessee where he worked for the Nashville International Airport for 31 plus years and retired in 2018.
Tim always had a story to tell or a joke to share. He was a great man, amazing friend, and brother. He will be deeply missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. He was an extremely hard worker, but he also knew how to have the most fun. He had many adventures with one of his best buds Michael “Supe” Granda.
He is predeceased by his parents Dorothy Benedix and George Benedix Sr.
He is survived by his brothers George Benedix Jr. of Rumford ME, and Thomas Benedix of Mexico, ME. He is also survived by his nieces Erica (Jason) Chamberlain and Nicole (Richard) Bryant along with his nephews Derek Benedix and Logan Benedix and many great nieces and nephews. He loved his nieces and nephews and treated them as his own. He never missed a chance to tell them how proud he was of them.
Our family would like to thank Traci (Pillow) Shannon and Mike Shannon of Paris, TN for their dear friendship, support, and love until the very end. We would also like to thank Margie and Joe Pillow as well of Paris, TN.
We have lost a treasured soul. For some of us family, some of us friends, we will all mourn his loss greatly. Rest in peace. We love you!
