Thomas-A.-Bozman

Thomas A. Bozman, age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

Thomas was born to the late Robert J. Bozman and Virginia Ratliff on September 2, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee.

At an early age, Tommy worked with his father building homes throughout Nashville and surrounding areas. His love and talent for art led him to a local print shop followed by starting his own business in a small garage with his wife Jean; whom he married on September 22, 1962.

Tommy had a talent for hand painting, whether it be art or lettering, metalworking, and construction which evolved into a Sign Business that is still thriving. In his retirement along with his wife Jean, they enjoyed spending time visiting family and friends along with being active members of their faith.

Tommy was often referred to as having a tough exterior, stoic in nature but ultimately soft-hearted. Many called him a Teddy Bear. Tommy was known for his integrity, loyalty, generosity, and his comedic ways. He helped others when in need without question. As a husband and father, his life was spent working for the sake of his family. He was married to the love of his life for 59 years.

In his early years, Tommy was an avid car lover, building motors, racing, and anything that involved speed. Those passions gave way to slower-paced hobbies as his family grew. Some of those included traveling with summers spent at the lake, time at the beach, and ski trips just to mention a few. He enjoyed gardening and time outside swimming with his family on many warm summer nights.

In the later part of his life, it seemed his favorite was the quiet time spent beside his wife on their porch swing taking in the sunset. Tommy was a dedicated member of Jehovah’s Witness, volunteering in multiple construction projects along with rendering aid after natural disasters, both local and elsewhere. He is loved by his daughters who are proud to have had a hero, a friend and a loving father who will be dearly missed.

Tommy is survived by his two daughters, Tina D. Bozman, and Cathie R. Bozman.

Other than his parents and sister Tommy is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ocea J. Bozman
