OBITUARY: Terry W. Moore Sr.

Terry Wayne Moore Sr., lovingly known as “Granddaddy,” passed away on April 7, 2026, in LaVergne, Tennessee, at the age of 65.

Born on June 5, 1960, in Nashville, Tennessee, Terry was a lifelong resident of the area and a man deeply rooted in his community. He dedicated over 30 years of service as a maintenance professional, and he was known for his hard work, reliability, and kind spirit. Went to Antioch High School.

Terry was a devoted father and an extraordinary grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Moore Bowlin, his son, Terry Wayne Moore Jr., his son-in-law, Scott Bowlin, and his 12 beloved grandchildren, who were the center of his world.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Jeanette Hartley Moore, and his father, Clarence Moore.

Terry had a passion for music and found joy in playing the guitar. He loved sharing music with those around him and had a warm, welcoming personality that made everyone feel like family. Known for his big heart,

Terry truly loved everyone he met and will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the deep love he had for his family.

His legacy of love, laughter, and music will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
