OBITUARY: Terry Murphy

Terry Lee Murphy, age 67, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025.

Born on October 18, 1957, Terry was the beloved son of the late Lee Taylor Murphy and Joyce Marie Belew. Terry was a devoted husband, family man, and loyal friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Reagan Murphy, and his brother Dale (Denise) Murphy. He also leaves behind his cherished niece Michelle (Curtis) Kynard, Amanda Mackey, and Mac (Charity) Mackey, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his sister Linda Mackey and his beloved daughter Callee Nicole, whose memories he held close to his heart. Terry dedicated 26 years of hard work and loyalty to his coworkers and friends at Central Woodwork, where he was respected for both his craftsmanship and his character.

A true Tennessee Volunteer through and through, Terry was a proud and passionate fan of UT football. His legendary ‘Man Cave’ was a tribute to his love for the game-decked out in orange and white, where many memories were made cheering on his favorite team.

Terry will be remembered for his kind spirit, steady presence, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His memory will live on through the lives he touched.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2627 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN.

Visitation: Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Visitation: Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Burial to follow at Harpeth Hill Cemetery (Highway 100) at 2:30 PM.
