Suzanne Herrig Thompson, age 80, passed away June 24, 2026. Relationships were important, and if you were lucky enough to be Sue’s friend, you were a friend forever. She was loyal, kind, generous, and found great joy in the simple things. She loved spending time with her family and found happiness in always having a jigsaw puzzle unboxed and ready to be worked on the table. Sue would tell great stories, filling the room with laughter from her family.
She was the most loyal customer to all her favorite local staff. She loved getting her hair done weekly, and nails painted the best color ever, purple. Volunteering at her favorite bookstore, Sue was an avid reader and made many lifelong friends among the store’s regulars. She was a Reiki master with a healing hand, always tending to any ailment a family member might have.
She married Roy, her high school sweetheart, and they were together 64 years. Sue was a person of great faith, and she brought joy and laughter to all of those around her. In honor of Sue, her family asks that you hug your loved ones and pass kindness forward.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ruth Herrig, her brother, Richard Herrig, and by one loving sister, Maribeth Herrig, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories. She was a loving mother to Mark (Kristina) Thompson, Ruth Ann (Ricky) Foxall, Karen (Terry) Faimon, daughter-in-law, Annie Charbonneau. Sue was a devoted grandmother to Julie (Zachariah) Lucas, Blake (Tiffany) Faimon, Caitlin (Will) Mott, Emily (Jake) Harper, Megan (Jo) Juneau, Lara Thompson, and great grandchildren Raevyn Lucas, Vivian Lucas, Aurora Faimon, Liam Mott, and Wesley Mott.
