Susan Orr Gracey of Nashville, Tennessee born February 19, 1953 to the late Sarah Dyer Gracey and Hugh Catron Gracey Sr., died at her beloved home June 6, 2022.
Susan is survived by her two loving daughters, Gracey Dyer Lipman and Margaret Lipman Orthwein (Stephen A. Orthwein, Jr.) and four grandchildren, Ely Nash Donahue, Olivia Grace Donahue, Hazel Anne Orthwein, and Stephen August Orthwein III; brother Hugh Catron Gracey Jr. (Pam) and sister Sally Dyer Gracey, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Susan attended St. Cecilia Academy and Stratford College where she made lifelong friends.
Susan worked as a social worker for the state of Tennessee before having children and continued to volunteer and care for others throughout her life.
Susan will be remembered for her artistic eye, enormous heart, unique sense of humor, treats for the grandkids, and always being a champion of the underdog. She was adored by all and will be forever missed.
A visitation will be held Sunday, June 19th from 12:00 PM – 2 PM at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs, 201 25th Ave. North, Nashville, TN, 37203.
