Susan Fairfax Borum Keith, age 78, passed away January 18, 2026.
Susan “Susie” Borum Keith was the third of four children born to Christine “Tino” Borum and Rhea Borum in Nashville, TN. As a young adult, she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, with her husband, Alvin Frakes. Susie loved taking her daughter, Casey, to the beach, and later the two would share countless road-trip adventures that both cherished. Susie was a proud and supportive mother. After being widowed, she returned to Nashville, where she managed a pawn shop on Broadway before pursuing nursing school and dedicating herself to a career as a nurse until her retirement. After marrying Larry Keith, they bought land and settled in Huntingdon, TN, where she spent her remaining years enjoying the peace of farm life. Susie lived life without apologies, free-spirited, with a special affinity for babies, dogs, and the elderly. She left a lasting impression on those she loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Keith, who died later the same day; her mother, Tino Borum; father, Rhea Borum; sister, Patsy McCullough (“Big” Mac McCullough): widowed by Alvin C Frakes; nephew, “Little” Mac McCullough; niece, Kelly McCullough.
She is survived by Daughter, Allison “Casey” Hudson (Craig); granddaughter, Mary Ryan and grandson, Samuel; sister, Tracy Borum; brother, Mike Borum (Sue); godson, Tanner Borum, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
