With grateful hearts for a life beautifully lived and a faith steadfastly kept, we celebrate the homegoing of Sue Dempsey, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on June 30, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born on December 24, 1937, in Adams, TN, Sue lived a life marked by grace, compassion, humility, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She found her greatest joy in serving God, loving her family, and encouraging others through her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
Sue was a devoted wife to Harold, a loving mother to Kathy, Pat & Mark, a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, and a treasured friend to many. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where family and friends were always met with love, prayer, and a comforting meal.
Her faith was not only something she professed but something she lived every day. Whether serving in her church, Tusculum Hills Baptist Church, praying for those in need, teaching God’s Word, singing hymns of praise, or quietly caring for others, she demonstrated Christ’s love in countless ways. Her gentle encouragement, steadfast prayers, and generous heart left an enduring impact on everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, along with countless friends, church family, and all whose lives were touched by her faith, love, and generosity.
Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in God’s promise that she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to inspire generations to come.
