Stephen Clyde Glass, age 58, of Hermitage, TN, died August 27, 2024, peacefully in his sleep, after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.

Steve was born in Louisville, KY and was the son of the late, Ken and Rose Billings Glass.

As a football coach at Holy Rosary Academy, Pope John II High School and Franklin Road Academy, Steve mentored countless young athletes, on and off the field, with both authority and passion, his love of the game inspiring generations of players.

He was the owner of Go Fish, an aquatic maintenance company, where he delighted in creating beautiful and vibrant habitats for all his clients. Steve enjoyed working with his hands, making things, and fixing everything. He also had a great enthusiasm for the outdoors and found joy in fishing, spending time on the lake, and spending time with his beloved family.

Steve had a special fondness for Big Red gum and Bit-O-Honey candy, always making sure both were readily available. A beloved husband, father, and Papa, Steve lived his Christian values and left a legacy of honor, integrity, and strength.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Glass Peterson.

Wife of 38 years – Tammy Moore Glass
Children – Stephen Thomas Clyde (Sarah) Glass, Christopher Andrew (Danielle) Glass, and Elizabeth Michelle (Louis Kim) Glass
Sister – Linda (Brian) Harrison
Grandchildren – Madilyn Glass, Ashton Glass and Skylar Glass
Niece and Nephews – Matthew Peterson, Katie Fite, and Jason Brunner
Fur babies – Max, Casey and Kelly

Visitation will be 2–3 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Bond Memorial Chapel with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3 p.m. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the football program at Pope John Paul II High School or Franklin Road Academy.
