Sharon Renee Courtney, age 64, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by love.
Sharon was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a woman remembered for her warm spirit, her love of animals, and the faith that anchored her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Mark Courtney; her parents, Al and Phyllis Cody; her brother, Matthew Brough; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Rick McDonnell; and her niece, Kathryn Harris.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachael Moore, and son-in-law, Nathan Moore; her treasured grandchildren, Evangeline and Alexander Moore; her siblings, Laura Harris (Larry), Stephanie Brough, Missy Brough Farrell, Al Cody (Anne), and Diane Nash; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Sharon will be remembered for the way she loved with generosity, sincerity, and quiet strength. Her cooking brought people together, her laughter filled the room, and her faith in God was steady through every season. She found joy in life’s simple moments and in the company of those she held dear. Her family is grateful for the years shared and the love that remains.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
