Sarah Hope Griffin-Nelson, 40, of Nashville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024.
Sarah was born May 3, 1983 in Nashville.
She was a mother first, but also a very talented nail technician. Her family referred to her as a walking historian. She was very passionate about American and racial history and loved to share her knowledge.
Sarah also loved to bake, all sorts of sweets, her cold drinks, all things beauty, and the color purple. She was an excellent driver and could get her family and friends anywhere or out of anything. Most of all, she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Sarah is deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Griffin; And grandmother, Evelyn Griffin.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Marvin Nelson III; Mother, Michelle Wilson; Children, Troyce Griffin, Paislee Griffin, Prentice Chandler, Zion Griffin, Delanee Griffin, and Jayde Reese-Mooney; Grandson, Carter; Five children in marriage; Sisters, April Frizzell, the Meadows sisters, Nikita Haynes, LaKeya Sanders, and Tashyia Moore; Aunts, Kim Buckner, DeeDee Spiva, and Gayle McGregor; Beloved dog, Deuce; And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216 on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11 am until her Celebration of Life at 3 pm. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
