Samuel Anselm Francescon, Jr. passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 91, surrounded by his family.
Sam (Pop) was a retired Deacon in the Catholic Church. A faithful servant, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, spiritual leader, and friend.
Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann St. Charles Francescon; son-in-law, Tommy Bateman; his parents, Samuel Sr. and Vincenza Francescon; brother, Pete Francescon, Sr.
Survived by his eight children: Steve Francescon (Pat), Bobby Francescon, David Francescon (Dawn), Susie Francescon Bateman, Sam Francescon (Judy), Danny Francescon (Ronnie), Chris Francescon (Kylee), Margie Francescon Grover. He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and a twin brother, Victor Francescon, Sr. and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 4:00-7:00 pm in the Christ the King School Parish Hall. On Thursday, May 25 visitation will be held at 10:00 am with family remembrance prior to funeral service at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church. The burial will be held at 1:00 pm at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery; 7931 McCrory Lane; Nashville, TN.
His grandsons, Stephen Francescon, BJ Francescon, Buster Bateman, Ryan Francescon, Joseph Francescon, Isaiah Francescon, Jake Francescon, Daniel Francescon, Wesley Francescon will serve as pallbearers.
