Ruth Ann Mallory, age 83, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Ruth Ann lived a life defined by her faith in God. Her deep relationship with Him was the cornerstone of who she was. She was a devout wife to her husband, Sam. Together with God as their guide, they shared a bond that was witnessed by all who knew them.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by Maureen Maxwell (Mother), Woodrow Maxwell (Father) and Peggy Waite (Sister).

She is survived by her husband of 59 years; Sam Mallory, Daughter Nikki (David) Harvey, Granddaughter, Mallory (Michael) Hoffman, Granddaughter Madison Harvey, Brother Lee Maxwell, Niece Marcie (Cezary) Lesko, and Great Nephew, Liam Lesko.

Ruth Ann’s departure will leave a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but none like the void she will leave in her beloved husband, Sam. The time they spent together was precious, but fleeting. Six decades of marriage was a long time, but they could have easily spent another 60 years together hand in hand with a love as strong as the day they married.

Ruth Ann will be remembered as an encouraging tender mother to her daughter, Nikki. She loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorite moments were spending the holidays at the beach with her immediate family where she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and family who gathered from wherever they were in life to enjoy each other’s company. Her love of water aerobics kept her heart young and body fit.

She enjoyed her Lifegroup, studying the scriptures, and fellowship with her friends. The time she spent with the ladies in her Bible study group was something she looked forward to every week. Her friends know her to be a kind, gentle heart whose soul defined the meaning of the word compassion. The sound of her laughter will be missed. The impact of her loss will be deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
