Rowland Hopkins, age 82, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Preceded in death by his father, John Walter Hopkins, and his mother, Anice Hopkins.
Survived by his wife of 56 years, Maude Robinson Hopkins; son, John Garner Hopkins (Shauna); grandchildren, James Caden Hopkins and John Kellan Hopkins; brother-in-law, Irby Simpkins and sister-in-law, Judge Muriel Robinson Simpkins; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rowland enjoyed golfing, playing 7 card stud, and snow skiing. He loved to fish and tie his own “Hoppy’s Lures”. Rowland was always sure to stop and smell the roses.
Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville on Tuesday, August 1st from 5-9 pm. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, August 2nd, at 10 am in our chapel, Jim Harris officiating. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
