Ronald Walker, age 76 of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 4, 2026.
Whether it be a beach vacation or a weekend out on his boat with friends and family, Ronald loved being on the water. He enjoyed driving his boat around Percy Priest Lake and fishing in his early years. He will be remembered for always making others smile and his love of dancing.
He also had a strong love of animals. He never met an animal he did not instantly fall in love with. Not only did he love his dogs and cats, but he also had a love for the wild animals in his backyard. He enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels, birds, and racoons daily.
Ronald was the beloved husband of Ellen Walker, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a beautiful partnership and a home welcoming to all.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents: Hugh Walker, Leona Weatherspoon-Burnette, and stepfather Bill Burnette.
Ronald is survived by his wife Ellen, daughter; Rachel Bryant, son; Zachary Walker, and sister; Patsy Minton.
A memorial service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Woodbine Funeral Home- Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN 37211. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a short service immediately following.
