Ronald “Ron” Morris of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, he was 73 years old.
Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War serving in the Philippines and Japan. Ron worked various jobs, but his main one was self-employed in home maintenance and repair and then later as assistant in the Crievewoood Recreation Center at Crievewood Baptist Church. He was active at Crievewood Baptist Church serving on various committees, as Sunday School teacher, deacon and friend to all.
When he had time, he liked fishing, grilling and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his granddaughters, Emma and Eliza.
Preceded in death by parents, Rayferd and Phyllis Morris and sister, Sharon Willingham.
Survived by wife, Patricia “Patti” Morris; daughter, Corrie (David) Zoetewey; 2 granddaughters; sister, Victoria (Kevin) McLeod; brother, Jerry Morris; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. (visitation 1-2 p.m.) at Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Road by Will Sensing and Dr. Ray Miller. Interment with Military Honors will be Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
