Robert William “Bob” Compton was born November 20, 1937, in Ballard County, Kentucky to the late Roy and Marguerietta Compton, and passed away at the age of 85 on December 10, 2022.
Bob grew up in Ballard County, Kentucky and went to Ballard Memorial High School, and then graduated from Murray State University in 1962. He was employed as a draftsman for Neel Schaller for 48 years retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marguerietta Compton.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma Compton; and his son, Tim Compton, both of Nashville, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 16, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Tim Compton, Robert “Buzzy” Neil and Jonathan Seamon. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: Drew Cranston, Germek, Brian Griffing. Logan Goad, Brent Hastings, Chris Henry and Joey Tuck.
