Robert Kenneth Evans, age 96, sadly passed away at his home in Nashville, TN on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Ken, as he was known, lived a wonderfully successful and blessed life. He was born, grew up and worked in Houston, Texas, then lived in Shreveport, Louisiana, Austin and Georgetown, Texas, where he was on the city council. Upon retirement from his company in Austin, Texas Savings Life Insurance Company, he and Carol, his beloved wife of 43 years, settled in Nashville, TN in 2005. Ken was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where he was active over the last 20 years.
Ken is predeceased by three of his 4 children, Sharon Jaster, Carol Hall and Randy Evans.
He leaves his loving wife and beautifully talented artist, Carol Crowder Evans; his daughter, Peggy Reynolds, Baton Rouge, LA; two stepchildren, Heather (Alan) Looney, Nashville,TN and Hunter Herren, Dayton, Ohio and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ken was the sweetest, kindest and most caring man, son, husband, father, stepfather and grandfather. He has outlived many longtime, loving friends and family. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm conversation, and easy-going spirit. His presence filed rooms and his absence will be deeply felt. Ken had a zest for life, travel, food, a deep faith and extraordinary capacity for compassion. Never an unkind word has ever been spoken about him. His absence will be felt by many that knew and loved him.
