Ricky Eugene Harris, 64, of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
He was born on August 10, 1957, to the late Comer Eugene and Evalina Roberts Harris.
He was a graduate of Cohn High School and Austin Peay State University. Ricky was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and loved going to church and singing in the choir. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his Tennessee Titans, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Nashville Predators. He also loved going to Daytona Beach. Ricky was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and soon-to-be grandfather.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Darlene Whitfield Harris; son, Daniel (Andrea) Harris; and siblings, Donald (Regina) Harris, Janice Bunday, and Sherry (Danny) Mabry; and twin grandsons on the way.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. www.westharpethfh.com Additional visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022, with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM. Ricky will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Forest Hills Baptist Church in Ricky Harris’ honor.
