Reverend Clifford Gibson, at age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 09, 2025.
Clifford was born, November 19, 1931, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee by his loving mother, Catherine Woodard Gibson and grandmother, Mary Miller Hagewood.
He was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruby Brown Gibson, and by his loving children, Belinda Jo Gibson Winters, and Mark Stephen Gibson.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Gibson Atkins (Bruce), and his son-in-law, Richard Winters. Clifford is also survived by four grandchildren: Brian Atkins (Sabine), Jeff Atkins, Matthew Winters, and Allison Winters Jackson (Charlie) and two great grandchildren: Leighton Jackson, and Cooper Jackson.
Clifford was an ordained minister with an evangelical spirit. He wanted everyone to know about Jesus. He also had a beautiful tenor voice and sang God’s praises throughout his life at church, weddings, funerals, and the nursing homes. He enjoyed singing duets with his wife, Ruby.
A gathering of family and friends for Clifford will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11:00 am for a Graveside Service at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee.
