Mrs. Philomena Chowbay, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 13, 1937, in Guyana, South America, Philomena lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and devotion to those she loved.
Philomena was a devoted woman of faith and a tireless worker whose strong work ethic inspired all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and generosity touched countless lives. She cherished attending St. Edward Church, where she found joy and community, and loved cooking heartfelt meals for family and friends, filling their hearts and homes with warmth.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Vishnu Chowbay; their son, Raj Chowbay; daughter, Cassandra Davis; son-in-law, Tom Davis; grandchildren, Caleb Chowbay, Nolan Chowbay, and Ciera (Chowbay) Lay; granddaughter’s husband, Bradford Lay; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Brayden.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Willamena; brother, Raymond; and her son, Mahendra Chowbay.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all family and friends for their love, support, and cherished memories shared with Philomena.
