Peggy was born on June 10, 1939 in Warren County, TN to Mrs. Ruby Lucile Fuston Judkins and Mr. Cecil Herbert Judkins. Following the untimely death of Peggy’s mother in 1940, she was adopted as an infant and raised by her mother’s sister, Mollie Fuston Womack and her husband, Cass R. Womack.

In 1957 Peggy graduated from Central High School in McMinnville, TN and immediately started working in downtown Nashville, TN at the newly completed L&C Tower. Peggy married James Floyd Roy (of Dekalb county, TN) in 1959 and together they raised two children: Gregory Alan Roy of Murfreesboro, TN and Melanie Ann Roy Ledford of Nashville, TN. In addition to her two children, Peggy is survived by 6 grandchildren.

The title of “Grandmother” is the achievement that brought much joy to Peggy’s latter days. The privilege of watching her children’s children grow up into early adulthood was a great source of happiness in her life.

The family is planning a private memorial service to celebrate her life.

Thanks to all Friends, Family & Neighbors who showed many kindnesses to Peggy throughout her lifetime. Much appreciation to Alive Hospice of Nashville and to Lakeshore Meadows Nursing Home of Bellevue for their excellent and compassionate care and support.
