Peggy Blanton Sullivan, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 19, 2025, in Nashville, TN. Known for her boundless kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering love, Peggy was the heart of her family and a light in every life she touched. She was the best mother, grandmother, wife, and friend anyone could ask for – the kind who made you feel seen, safe, and endlessly loved. Her sweetness was unmatched, her warmth constant, and her presence a gift to all who knew her. Peggy’s legacy is one of grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the many years we had with her and the love she gave so freely. Her favorite people called her Mama, Granny & Mimi. We love you, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.
Born on January 26, 1933, Peggy grew up as the youngest of six to William Edward Blanton and Sadie Belle Briley. When she was 16, she met William Patrick “Pat” Sullivan and fell in love at first sight, and they were married by the time Peggy turned 18. Pat joined the army which took them to South Carolina but quickly returned home to Nashville. Together, Pat & Peggy devoted their lives to raising four children, enjoying their grandchildren, and establishing The Hearth and Grill Shop, a business their son Ricky and his family runs today.
Those who have passed on before Peggy include her beloved husband for whom she has been longing to join, William Patrick “Pat”; her parents, brothers, and sister. She is survived by her children, Patricia “Pat” (Ken) Hatcher, William Patrick “Ricky” (Carol) Sullivan, Jr., Angie (Jimmy) Cundiff, and Kari (Jay) Gray; her grandchildren, Joey Pack, Stephen Sullivan, Kevin Cundiff, Kellye (Ryan) Cundiff O’Connor, Hayes Hatcher and Addison Gray; her great-grandchildren Caelan (Katie) Pack, Landon Pack, Rory O’Connor, Kennedy O’Connor, and Kacey Belle O’Connor; and her great-great grandchild Carver Pack.
