Peggy Barnes Miller of Nashville, Tennessee passed away from this life on Sunday, November 6, 2022, she was 92 years old.
Born and raised in Jackson, TN, she graduated from Jackson High School and then attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA. In Nashville, she became a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Remnant Sunday School class and made friends she cherished the rest of her life.
She had a long marriage with her love, Bo, with whom she enjoyed dancing to big band music, traveling internationally, and spending time together with their family. She also had a large circle of friends from Bible studies, her sewing club, the Valley Green Garden Club, and especially a group of lifelong friends she kept in contact with since childhood.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ollie Barnes; her sister, Daisy Barnes McGrath; her brother, Bobby Barnes; and her husband, John T. “Bo” Miller.
She is survived by numerous beloved family members, among them her son, Trip (Brenda) Boon of Brentwood, TN; grandson, Jeffrey Boon, of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Ashley (Scott) Asher, of Dothan, AL; and great-grandson, John Reeves Asher, of Dothan, AL.
A special thank you is extended to her caregivers, Rosie Jones, Stacey Teasley, and Barbara Jones, who were faithful and loving angels. The tender, loving care you showed was a grace to the whole family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11th at 3701 Hillsboro Rd., Nashville, TN 37215, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 3701 Hillsboro Road, Nashville, TN 37215 in memory of Peggy’s life.
