Patricia “Patsy” R. Cooksey Cunningham passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 21, 2021.
Mom fiercely battled Parkinson’s Disease for 52 years. Her spunky, feisty, never give up on me personality shined brightly as she is loved by many near and far.
Mom, age 81 of Nashville TN, was preceded in death by husband, Charles B. Cunningham; parents, James W. and Francis Cooksey.
Survived by sisters, Barbara Cooksey Mathews and Diane Cooksey Quakenbush, children, Donna McGuirt, Lori A. Cunningham, Charlie Cunningham Jr (Tonia), Patricia Leigh Cunningham, James Scott Cunningham; grandchildren, Kelly McGuirt (Scott), Christopher McGuirt, Joey Cunningham, Nick Cunningham, Chance Cunningham, Abigail Faith, Livesay Lee, Jack Cunningham, Amelia Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Nathan McGuirt-Pribble, Hallie Cunningham, Piper Cunningham; and beloved pets, Lucy Lu, Chai, Graci, Mya.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Graveside service and interment will be at 3:15 p.m. The family is honored to receive friends on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
**In lieu of flowers we would love to support the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s in honor of Mom’s 52-year fight! Brent Peterson beloved former Coach of the Nashville Predators. Brent met Mom several years ago just after his diagnosis.
