Patricia A “Pat” Scherer, 86, of Nashville, departed this world April 30, 2026, at the end of a day filled with joy and precious time spent with her family. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 12:00 noon at St. Henry Catholic Church, followed by Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm and burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Pat was raised in Oran, Missouri, where she attended Oran High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim, and was happily married for forty-nine years. Together they raised their family and built their family business, A-1 Appliance Company in Nashville.
Pat loved her family beyond measure. She was happiest when her home was filled with her family and those she loved – and those occasions were many! Her family was her world and she was their sun. She will be profoundly missed by her children: daughter, Cindy Scherer (Mike Thompson), son, Steve Scherer (Rhoda), son, John Scherer (Jerri Green) and daughter, Lori Clark (Alan), and her two grandsons, Carter Clark and Zach Clark, and cherished friends BE Greek, Joyce Orrand, Veguer Jean-Jumeau and special caregiver, Sally Rogers. She is survived by her brother, Randy (Jenny) Amrhein, an extended family of in-laws, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Their memories with her will be cherished, and her absence deeply felt.
Pat waited patiently for the day she would be reunited with her beloved mother Pauline, her father Frank, and her beloved Jim in eternal peace. Their reunion is a comforting thought for all who loved her.
The family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff at NHC Place at the Trace. Pat enjoyed her days spent there and received so much love, support, and tender care. The family is deeply grateful to both Tina and Sara at The Trace and the love they showed Miss Pat.
