Orville “Buddy” L. Reed, Jr of Nashville, Tennessee departed this world on Monday, October 31, 2022, he was 75 years old.
He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Janie Gunn Reed.
Left behind are his 3 children, Julie Reed Cosens, Brad (Megan) Reed & Travis (Brittany) Reed, and 4 grandchildren Isabella, Braxton, Cadence & Kendalle.
Born on August 25, 1947, to Orville & Annie Reed, Sr. in Nashville TN, he graduated from Litton High School, Class of ’65. He then attended Middle Tennessee State University where he received a BA. During this, he took a semester off to work, and was immediately drafted into the military, which led to him being an Army Veteran.
He was a kid at heart with a generous, playful attitude that rubbed off on those around him. He was known as the fun Dad, Uncle and Grandfather and loved by so many. He was active in his children’s lives and took on many rolls in the community; a Deacon, a Sunday school Teacher, a PTA Treasurer, a baseball/softball coach and many more.
He had an ear for music and has left behind many memories of singing, dancing, playing guitar for his children. Fishing at the lake never got old. He never met a stranger and would always give to someone in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at: Tusculum Hills Baptist Church, 4930 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211
